Arthur Lee Kubert, 59, of Pine Lake Road in Sand Lake, Michigan and formerly of Dowagiac, Michigan, passed away at Metron of Cedar Springs, Michigan on Thursday, March 4, 2010.

Arthur was born on February 19, 1951 to the late Jacob and Maxine (Battenberg) Kubert in South Bend, Indiana. He was one of 3 boys raised in the Kubert household.

Arthur lived at the Pleasant View Manor in Sand Lake, Michigan. He was full of energy and always wanted to help out everyone else at the house. Arthur worked in various jobs through the Hope Network, for people with various disabilities like Arthur’s downs syndrome. When Arthur wasn’t working he was always trying to help out everyone else, offering anything he had to share with others, riding on the boat, going out to eat and especially watch as many live baseball games as he could in a season.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother and sister-in-law Vaughn S. and Paulina Kubert.

Arthur is survived by his brother Robert Kubert of Dowagiac, nieces and nephews Ryan and Tera and Vaughn J. (Lisa) Kubert and great nieces and nephews Jasmine, Kieya, Jacob and Justin.

A memorial service to honor Arthur’s great life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 2010 at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel.
